This recipe is a riff on a classic Sidecar cocktail, as it utilizes Brandy and lemon juice, but we’ve made it a bit more modern and smokey with the use of our Pine Syrup and Palo Santo Bitters. A Sidecar is not for the faint of heart, likened to a Manhattan, it’s essentially all booze and guaranteed to warm your bones or melt away a stressful day.
– 1 1/2 oz. Pear Brandy, we suggest Colorado based Peach Street Distillers
– 1/2 oz. Bourbon
– 1/4 oz. Lemon Juice
– 1/4 oz. Orange Juice
– 5 shakes DRAM Palo Santo Bitters
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well, strain into glass. In my years of bartending I have seen a Sidecar rimmed with sugar, that is entirely up to you!
